COMMON GRAVITY

Every life has breakups. Not just relationships. You can break up with a job. A business. A friend. A dream. A version of yourself. Hell… sometimes your favorite coffee shop closes and somehow that one hurts more than your last situationship. At least the coffee showed up every morning. This exists because life has a weird way of blowing things up right when you think you’ve finally figured it out. I’ve been through divorces, failed businesses, friendships that disappeared, relationships that wrecked me, wins that didn’t feel like wins, and moments where I genuinely had no clue what the hell came next. So this isn’t me pretending to have life all figured out. It’s me figuring it out with you. We’ll steal wisdom from psychologists, entrepreneurs, athletes, musicians, and the occasional lunatic who accidentally says something brilliant. We’ll laugh at ourselves because, honestly, if you can’t laugh at your own train wreck every now and then, you’re missing half the fun. No fake motivation. No “rise and grind.” No pretending everything happens for a reason while your life’s on fire. Just honest conversation, like it, hate it, I'm doing this for me. Some weeks about business. Some weeks about purpose. Some weeks I’ll probably just tell you about something incredibly stupid I did and what it taught me. The goal isn’t to become perfect. It’s to become a little better than yesterday. So if you’re rebuilding something… Welcome. Let’s get to work. We all have the same thing in Common and its Gravity.

I thought I did the work.
Turns out, I mostly did the homework.
This week I went back to last episode’s challenge: what went right, what went wrong, and what could I have done differently?
I didn’t love the answers.
We’re talking trust, divorce, old trauma, EMDR, red flags, relationships, and the uncomfortable realization that sometimes the person standing in front of you didn’t create the wound—they just exposed it.
And somewhere in all of that, I started realizing that healing isn’t about saying, “Fuck that person,” and moving on.
It’s understanding what happened, owning your part, wishing them well, and figuring out what the hell you’re going to do differently next time.
Then, on a 7 a.m. flight to LA, something tiny happened that made me realize the work might actually be working.
Fuck, I feel good.
Maybe healing isn’t becoming someone new.
Maybe it’s getting back to the person you were before life taught you to put the armor on.
